Corporate Affiliate Program
The Stanford Digital Economy Lab is an interdisciplinary research group studying how digital technologies are transforming work, organizations, and the economy—towards a world of shared prosperity.
An engine for research and education, we bring together an unprecedented group of stakeholders to analyze data, run experiments, develop theories, and provide actionable insights.
The Lab is an integral part of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI). We are the Institute’s primary hub for conducting research related to the economic implications of technology—a demonstration of HAI’s multidisciplinary approach to addressing complex problems. The Lab is co-sponsored by the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
The Lab is also deeply committed to industry engagement. We are building a community of researchers, practitioners, executives, and policy-makers to help shape the future of work. Industry engagement is a core component of our strategy.
The Corporate Affiliate Program seeks to:
- Create opportunities for industry professionals to network with leading academics and to discuss key topics related to the digital economy.
- Create a community of industry leaders who will be deeply knowledgeable about the digital economy and use our research to inform their work, as well as provide feedback to our team.
- Raise awareness about The Lab’s mission and research.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing and discussions about datasets that could be used to further our work.
Program benefits
Invitations to virtual and in-person events, including our annual conference, seminar series, lectures, and industry-focused discussions.
Opportunities to engage with Lab faculty, staff, students, and affiliates.
Option to engage in Lab sponsored research projects (funding and contract provided separately, outside the scope of the base Corporate Affiliate Program).
Option to support projects with tokens: Affiliate Program members may provide additional funding. All research results arising from the use of the additional funding will be shared with all program members and the general public. Affiliate Program members may request the additional funding be used to support a particular area of program research identified on the program’s website, or the program research of a named faculty member, as long as the faculty is identified on the program website as participating in the Affiliate Program. In either instance, the director of the Affiliate Program will determine how the additional funding will be used in the program’s research.
Option to send a visiting scholar to join the Stanford research team to work on a project (in accordance with the Dean of Research’s policies).
Recognition on Lab website and at Lab events.
