Job description

Research objectives

  • – A large software company working in the creativity industry is trying to integrate GenAI into its software workflows to deliver actionable insights to users. This research project aims to (1) identify ways in which the introduction of GenAI model will change the user’s behaviors and (2) calculate the impact on firm’s performance.

  • – A large consulting firm that is planning training interventions to help their consultants exploit the power of GenAI and transform their jobs. This research project aims at (1) identifying ways in which the introduction of GenAI model will change the consultants’ jobs and (2) calculate the impact on firm’s performance.

Methodology
The study aims to quantify the impact of the introduction of the GenAI model in the software workflow using experiments (randomized control trials).

Timeline
The project is expected to start around April 2025 and last at least six months.

Requirements

  • – 2nd-4th year Stanford PhD student in management, economics, or statistics
  • – Experience (or strong interest) in experimental design
  • – Quantitative background

Time commitment
20 hours per week during the school year, 30-40 hours per week during summer

Compensation
This is an hourly position, with rates determined by student level and department. Please confirm your eligibility for hourly student work prior to application.
