The Digitalist Papers Volume 2: The Economics of Transformative AI
- Conference
- Economics of transformative ai
- In-person
This event celebrated the second volume of our ambitious interdisciplinary effort to guide technology-based policy toward the best possible future.
The new set of essays turns to the Economics of Transformative AI—technology that could usher in economic change comparable to the Industrial Revolution but with far greater speed and scope.
This event, held at Stanford University, featured presentations and discussions with leading economists, technologists, investors, and policymakers who are shaping the future of work and growth.
The Digitalist Papers is a project of the Stanford Digital Economy Lab. Building on the first volume’s focus on AI and democracy, Volume 2 offers serious yet accessible roadmaps, frameworks, and open questions for navigating the economic challenges and opportunities of the AI age.
