Abstract

Data is a vital asset in the online world. It can generate an immense value for all the participants of the ecosystem, both consumers and producers of goods and services. In this project we aim to empirically assess the value of data as well as its allocation. We evaluate the data-enabled consumer surplus and how producers’ market performance depends on data.
