An intensive workshop that will explore the economic impacts of transformative AI (TAI). Through a series of topic-based discussions, we’ll examine key areas of inquiry essential for understanding TAI’s impact on production, invention, distribution, concentration, geopolitics, information flows, AI safety and alignment, and meaning and well-being.

Each session will begin with a brief “firestarter” talk to frame the topic and introduce central questions that ignite a discussion among participants. We’ll be working toward identifying priorities, hypotheses, and tools economists can develop to better address the complex challenges TAI presents.

We look forward to a productive day of sharing perspectives, refining questions, and defining the next steps for advancing research in this space.
