Xijie Gao’s research explores how digital technologies are transforming modern economies, with a focus on the implications for market structure, consumer welfare, and aggregate productivity. His work bridges the fields of industrial organization, macroeconomics, and the digital economy, combining structural modeling with large-scale microdata from leading digital platforms.
