Zexue He

Postdoctoral Fellow

Zexue is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), working with Alex ‘Sandy’ Pentland and Erik Brynjolfsson. Before joining Stanford, she was a Research Scientist at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab and an affiliate researcher at MIT, where she was a key member of the IBM Foundation Model team developing the Granite vision-language models. Zexue received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California San Diego advised by Julian McAuley, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Beijing Normal University.

Her research has been published in leading AI venues including TMLR, ICLR, ICML, ACL, etc. She has been invited to give talks and serve as a panelist at academic seminars and workshops such as NeurIPS. Zexue was awarded the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship in 2022.
