Christos Makridis is an associate research professor at Arizona State University, senior researcher at Gallup, associate faculty at the Complexity Science Hub (Vienna, AT). He has been working in the Digital Economy Lab on the economics of remote work and AI. Christos previously served as a founding member and senior adviser on the National Artificial Intelligence Institute at the Department of Veterans Affairs and led the cybersecurity, space, and technology activities on the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
Christos’ research interests focus on the intersection of labor economics and emerging technologies, studying how technology, geopolitical factors, and policy change the way people work and live. He holds doctorates in economics and management science & engineering from Stanford University.
